Just dropped Megan off at the Airport. She is heading up to Cincinnati to interview at the third best Children’s hospital in the nation. It has been just another confirmation in this story of our move to Ohio. They basically called her and asked her if they could fly her up to the hospital for an interview. Amazing. Not only is my wife incredibly smart when it comes to studying and all, but she has a heart of a servant. She is the kind of nurse you want when you go to the hospital. Someone who will sit by your side when you’re in so much pain from cancer, someone who will pray with you and comfort you. She loves people and taking care of people. Its not just a job that she has b/c it pays decent money…she has a heart for taking care of others. Thats what sets her apart.

Megan, if you read this…I’m praying for you.

Man, its great to be home. I just returned from a Student Camp at the beach. I had the awesome chance to lead worship for First Baptist Columbia Middle School Camp. It was so great. These middle schooler blew my mind. They went for it every night during the evening sessions, had tremendous energy. I believe the middle schools of Columbia could be changed as a result of some of these students I got to hang out with this weekend. I was also able to meet some really cool people from the church that went along as leaders.

And yes, I did go the Yum Yum Shop. Actually I went twice in about 30 minutes. Dude, I love ice cream.

So, I’m playing this week with my good friend Stephen Cope for a huge FCA camp held @ The Hangar in Spartanburg. I love being able to play electric when I can. Let me tell you, these football kids are crazy. They jump, yell, dance, clap like I’ve never seen before. Im sure tomorrow night, which will be the last night will be super crazy.

Megan and I are moving to Cincinnati, OH.

I will be the worship leader at Rivers Crossing Community Church and I could not be any more excited. I had the chance to lead there several weeks back when Megan and I were up for a visit. I got a call from the pastor a week later asking me if I’d be interested in being the worship leader. At first, it was an immediate no in my mind. My family is here in Greenville, my friends are here in Greenville, all my “connections” are here in the upstate. Why would I want to leave all that behind. It was obvious the Lord had something different in mind. Megan and I began praying and fasting about this decision. And a decision was made to go to Ohio and invest in the local church there. And as I stated before, we are so excited. I think that this will be so good for both Megan and I, a very healthy thing. What a joy it was to hand in my two week notice last week at the chemical plant.

Please pray for us as we make this transition. The main thing that we need right now is for our house in Simpsonville to sell pretty quickly. We plan on moving at the beginning of August.
