Weekend Recap

Posted on: January 30th, 2012 by brandon No Comments

Man.  What a Weekend.  Me and the guys loaded the trailer early on Friday morning in the snow/rain and headed down to the Carolinas.  When we arrived in Greenville, SC – it was 65 degrees and we had our windows down.  Yea.

We played at The Channel on Friday night.  The band Saint Lewis opened up for us.  We played a 12 song set which included songs off of my album and some other worship songs.  It was a great night.  A lot of my family came out to see us play and Jay (owner of The Channel) was super cool and man that place has some stellar burgers.  Dang.  They are legit.  I hope to be back soon.

After The Channel, we loaded up and headed up to the Asheville NC area and we led at a Student Conference on Saturday night called Solid Rock One Day.  Great event put on by some great people.  I really loved the flow of this conference.  All in all, we played 3 different worship sets that night and played around 12 songs again.  The energy in that room was great and the students responded really well.  Their were even students who accepted Christ – and well, you can’t beat that.  On our way back to the hotel we stopped at a gas station to get some necessities – skittles, drinks, laffy taffy…you know.  When I went to checkout I noticed they had a flyer on their counter promoting the Night of Worship the following night.  It was kind of funny, a little awkward, and very random.  But nonetheless we were thankful that it was being promoted in the community.

On Sunday night we played at Antioch Baptist Church in Waynesville, NC.  We did sort of the same format as Friday night.  Played about 12 songs with a mix of original songs off of my album and other songs as well.  Great night too.  Then we packed up and headed home.  I finally got in my bed last night at about 4:15 AM.

It was a great weekend and we were very thankful to be able to travel and lead.  Thanks for having us!

A couple housekeeping notes:

1)  If you weren’t able to get an album or a shirt at one of the events this past weekend, we have it all for sale on my website (http://brandongilliam.com/site/store/) and you can get the album on iTunes as well.

2)  If you’re interested in having us come down and lead at any of your events, camps, etc.  Please contact us we’d love to come and worship with you.  Click here to fill out a contact form!
